Dietitians at Meiriki Japan assess your nutritional and health needs, review your medical history and, by looking at your eating habits and lifestyle, provide personalized dietary advice and lifestyle modification. We help you set up and achieve nutrition goals and solve your health problems. Scope of services:


Dietitian Team

Patrick Chan

● Registered Dietitian by the Commission of Dietetic Registration
● NBNSC Certified Nutrition Support Clinician
● Member of Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
● Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign)
● Currently works as a dietitian at Meiriki Japan and provides health consultation, focused on geriatrics, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, dementia, GI diseases, and osteoporosis
● Previously worked as a Clinical Dietitian at a County Hospital in the USA. Mainly prescribed appropriate diet and nutrition plans for acute and chronic patients.
● Organized workshops for Pope Paul VI College and Fung Kai No.1 Primary School to promote healthy lunch choices and nutrients needed for growth by using interactive activities.
● Created food box menus for the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association. Also, educated their members about necessary cooking techniques to utilize ingredients in the food box and nutrition information of the food prepared by video shooting.
● Held a weekly nutrition course for over 90 elderlies at the NT West Elder Academies Cluster to educate them about the cardiovascular system.
● Provided health talks for various elderly centres, such as the Christian Family Service Centre and Yang Memorial Methodist Social Service to promote a healthy lifestyle.
● Formulated nutritious menus for "Tung Wah Group Food Assistance Service Project", serving all age groups including adults, elderly, babies, young children, pregnant women, ethnic minorities, etc.
● Collaborated with Watson’s Pharmacist to discuss office workers’ primary health issues and educated them on necessary lifestyle modification to improve health.
● Regularly writes featured articles in major newspapers such as " Hong Kong Economic Times", "Sky Post" and "Sing Tao News" to promote healthy dieting.
● Supervised CUHK’s nutrition students during the Meiriki Japan’s summer internship program. Interns were exposed to real-world experiences of being a nutrition professional.

● Works as a dietitian at Meiriki Japan and mainly provides nutrition counselling and medical nutrition therapy for clients. Mainly focused on abnormal weights, pregnancy, paediatrics, and geriatrics.
● Previously worked as a Clinical Dietitian at a County Hospital in Australia. Mainly prescribed nutrition counselling services for patients.
● Formulated nutritious menus for "Tung Wah Group Food Assistance Service Project", serving all age groups including adults, elderly, babies, young children, pregnant women, ethnic minorities, etc.
● Organized workshops for The Boys' & Girls' Clubs Association, Pope Paul VI College and Fung Kai No.1 Primary School to promote healthy lunch choices and nutrients needed for growth by using interactive activities.

Dietetic Consultation

Single charge:

 Initial Nutrition Assessment and Consultation (45 - 60 minutes): $780

● Follow-up Session (15 - 30 minutes): $450

(Initial assessment has to be re-done if the last visit is more than 6 months old, since the body conditions might have been changed)
